How You Can Help

If you're worried about what these changes would mean for Doane, you're in good company. Thousands of students' lives have been touched by these programs, and many of them are central to the definition of the "liberal arts." Without them, Doane will be a more sterile place, and recruitment of both students and faculty may well suffer.

If you want to help us reverse course, the best thing you can do is write the Board of Trustees. They have the final vote on this plan, and that won't happen until sometime in November. (The date isn't public yet.) So tell them what these programs mean to you, how they've affected your life, and how they've affected the world.

When you're done, spread the word via social media and get more people involved. Send them to this web site--that's why we built it! If they have questions, tell them to reach out to any faculty member they built a relationship with.

Finally, if you have relationships with individual Board members, consider reaching out to them and having a conversation with them one-on-one. Thank you for helping us fight!
